Dr Elena Mancuso is a  biomedical engineer. She studied at Politecnico di Torino in Italy before moving to the UK to take a PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne focusing on bioceramic materials and substitutes for bone tissue repair.

Elena Mancuso’s Research Interests

Her research interests lie in the design, processing and characterisation of materials for biomedical applications and the use of conventional and non-conventional technologies, and engineering methods as a platform for the development of novel medical devices for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
